Really excellent bike shop. Took my bike here after taking a solid near-hospitalising knock off my bike. Bike was heavily broken when I took it in.

I got really good support and advice, an extensive damage report and lots of options for fixing. Dan from the shop talked me through everything I needed doing and more. Back on the bike now and it rides really well. Excellent.

Have had only phenomenally good experiences in this bike shop. Pete and his mechanics are incredibly warm and caring, and the shop has a very friendly and non-judgemental atmosphere. I bought a shiny new bike from them and they transferred all the decent bits from my old bike over and had me ready to go the next day! Highly highly recommended. Excellent 6* personal and professional service. Where other bike shops wouldn’t consider my request for a combination of road and mtb parts for my cherished classic GT Zaskar, Pete’s reply was confident and positive. The guys in the workshop has done an excellent job of making sure everything is right before it I picked it up. I totally recommend Pete at Rat Race Cycles to anyone looking for exemplary personal service and workmanship.
